Easy, Stable, Comfortable
Don't let my four star review fool you into thinking I don't love this product, because I do. Here are the things I love about it:1) I paired it with a 12" Sleep Innovations Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress. The fact that a whole bed and mattress was just left on my porch was the coolest thing ever.2) Design. Although I was almost disappointed to not get to use my tools that day, I was impressed that all I had to do was loosen and then retighten some pre-installed wing-nuts to get each side stabilized. And then insert and tighten two included bolts with spacers and wing-nuts to bolt the two halves together. No tools at all required except for the optional head/foot brackets (they come with this product, but do not need to be installed). Each half folds up almost flat and both were in a flat, manageable box. It's easy to get to the room you need it in and it will be super easy to move in the future. It also has plastic coverings on all the feet so that it won't damage wood floors.3) I was skeptical that other reviewers (you can look at the different sizes of the same product to find some relevant reviews) talked about the storage space underneath because there are some diagonal braces at each end that you can see in the product picture, but it's true! Where my old metal frame meant for a box spring has just under 7" of height available for storage, this more than doubles that under at least 80% of the bed. I put my two full sized soft suitcases (typical design in black - the most common type you see nowadays) and full sized carry on in one row from side to side, and I still have about 1/3 of the space left under that HALF of the bed. There's tons more room down there.4) I called the manufacturer directly (and could hardly believe it went right to a person, not an auto-attendant) and asked specifically if I should put plywood over the frame before setting down a memory foam mattress. They said I did not have to. I'm still not sure how this affects the warranties of particular brands of mattresses, but I did not use plywood, and it seems to be just fine.Negative:I gave it a four because it is undeniably not the best made product you'll ever find - and I admit it doesn't need to be since it's meant not to be seen. But after bolting the two sides together, the one leg sort of came up off the ground. I turned it around so that was at the head, thinking my weight would straighten it out over the time, foolishly forgetting that now that leg is on the wood, which is lower than the other legs that are on a rug. It would make some noise upon strong turning at night, but I put some of that felt made to protect wood floors under it to even out the height and it made a lot of difference. I think I need another piece or two to make it really perfect, but not a big deal.Size Note: I don't know why California King seems so rare. Eastern King would have been just going over the line width-wise to what fits nicely in my room, but I love the extra length on the California King so much! I'm not even that tall (73"), but now I can read on my belly or stretch out as much as I want without hanging off the end of the bed. It sucks that - at least in MD - you have to buy your sheets/etc. online, but I'd encourage you to give it a try if you've been thinking about it.UPDATE: BTW, I paid just under $200 after shipping.

Sensational Support, Versatile And Wonderful !
The media could not be loaded. ***BIG MOMMA HAS A FEW WORDS TO SAY ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL BED FRAME AS WELL***Bull dogs and Bedding a terrifying horror story.Well, we have a wonderful old king size bed frame with head board. When our puppy and his much older and fatter counter part began spending much time under our bed we didn't realize they were chewing through the support posts that go from the bed slats to the floor likes cheeky little beavers. That is until the bed collapsed with all off us on it. And so, boxes of books and pieces of wood got the bed fairly level again but made our 5 year old mattress which I knew was on it's way out extremely uncomfortable. As I was searching around Amazon this little jewel caught my eye and so into the cart it went as I continued to search for bed slats.Even having them cut to size from the recommended Poplar was around $150 so I just moved ahead and clicked my way over to check out.I can tell you out of 250 plus reviews I've written which represent a small fraction of what this household buys on Amazon this is hands down one of the best purchases we've ever made. The Night Therapy Metal Platform Bed is nothing short of sensational.Unlike traditional box springs which use half coil springs for support - which will simply follow the curves of an uneven mattress. This system provides an even level of support and distributes weight beautifully. Our ready to retire old mattress now has some new life in it and we can happily put of investing in a new mattress for the time being. The system fit perfectly into our bed frame which was my one concern but turned out be unwarranted. Wether used to replace your old box springs or used as a stand alone platform bed - you'll get the best nights sleep you've had in a long time. We'll never buy box springs again - ever.BENEFITS;* Designed for maximum even support.* Solid steel construction* Wonderful and heavy crisscross of strong support* Powder coated steel, excellent build quality.* Rubber feet to protect floors ** Well made joints lock into place effortlessly* King size comes in two units, packaged well.* Pre-Assembled, literally 5 minutes to set up. Open the legs and lock them, lay them down and viola!* The two systems snap together with an easy screw and clip.* Silent as in dead silent. No squeaking or other noises.* Can hold up to a whopping 2,400 LBS!* Note to other buyers - the rubber feet will squeak on hard wood floors. Not a problem on carpet. We put rubber carpet padding down which keeps the entire system from moving even a fraction of an inch and has made the system completely and utterly quiet. Both my better half, our dogs and even myself are getting a better nights sleep than we had been in about a year or so. Our mattress now is a bit firmer but much more supportive and the indentations, hills and valleys that disturb your sleep with their never ending torture have vanished. The American Sleep Association.org confirms that most mattress complaints are due to box springs. Box springs are cheap wooden frames with a low grad half coil in them. When they go - the entire mattress goes. With this system you get better support, your old mattress will feel significantly better and you'll get plenty of new storage space under your bed as well. This is a brilliant and versatile product and it's worth every penny. Highest recommendations to anyone on the fence about this product as you're sure to adore it. In fact I think I'll attempt to grab a few more winks right now on our old but all of a sudden brand new mattress.
