Best value for your buck!
I have been using Memorex since the days of cassettes and have always been very pleased with the sound quality. It was only natural that when they came out with a BD Rom I would have to try it & I'm not disappointed. I get the same great audio quality & now with excellent video quality as well. I've tried other BD Roms and they were good, but if you like a product that gives you what you're looking for, you stick with it! The price is also very reasonable, but don't take my word for it, try it for yourself...you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Failed to write
This is not a good product as multiple discs have failed to write. I'll revert to Japanese mfgs, namely Taiyo Yuden's (That's) products that are made under the most stringent quality control in the industry.

Very Good Media
Great price which is only slightly more than buying DL DVDs and I seldom have any problems when burning one of these Blu-Rays.

Flawless. Simply flawless.
I almost didn't get these. My experiences with Memorex DVD+R media tainted my view of Memorex as a supplier of optical media. After replacing my DVD burner with a Blu-ray burner, I began what I thought was going to be a headache-filled process of selecting the best media for my needs.Verbatim lost a customer in me when they decided to play it cheap and have some of their once-reliable DVD+R Dual Layer product made in India--and that product is absolute crap. I also didn't want to get stuck with LTH media, which Verbatim is championing these days and seems easy to accidentally order. Choosing them for Blu-ray media seemed out of the question to me.I turned to CD burning forums, and most posters seem to blacklist Memorex BD-R for the same reason I now blacklist Verbatim--they've been bitten by bad DVD media in the past, and figure Memorex is still singing their same old tune. Doom9's forum had a different story, with several posters stating that this media has yielded great results for them. Since it's easy for me to find Memorex BD-R media in my hometown (even if Amazon offers much better deals), I decided to try a spindle of them.I'm glad I did. Using Imgburn and a Lite-On burner, the entire spindle has burned without issue. I have Imgburn verify everything I burn (I learned that lesson during my DVD days), and they always pass muster. The movie backups I've created play in my Panasonic set top player, as well as in our home theater PC which uses Arcsoft TotalMedia Theatre 5. No headaches. No hassles.Maybe soon, I'll revisit Verbatim to see how their BD-Rs hold up... but then again, I seem to have a good thing going here with the Memorex blanks. I feel that so long as one sets their burning speed to 4X (the rated speed of these disks) preforms a verify, and doesn't choke their system by trying to do a thousand other things while the disc burns, they will have no problems with these discs.

Excellent for my needs
I've tried the other brands and the other record speeds. For some odd reason, my software and hardware works best with 4X only. I have tried tweaking the system with software and firmware updates to no avail. This particular brand and speed works perfectly for my needs. I haven't had one bad disc in the bunch. I will continue to buy these. To each their own. There are others that don't like this brand and swear by others. Whatever works for you.

Four Stars
Nothing special about them.

High quality single-layer blank Blu-Ray recordable media
Completely satisfied with these - have ordered and re-ordered them from Amazon. I use them to make backup copies of some of my 'lesser' blu-ray disks. These are single layer (25GB max) disks, which are not large enough to fully back-up a complex blu-ray with a lot of 'bonus features' on it. Those generally are double-layer (50GB) disks, which I also buy from Amazon and have reviewed as well. But if you have a pretty simple movie without a lot of extras, this is a great way to cover yourself against the kids scratching it or jamming it in the blu-ray player and damaging the recording surface. Like any blu-ray disk, you must handle these carefully, don't touch the shiny side, and buy some kind of cover for them (plastic cases are best, but paper sleeves will do as well).

Good BD-Rs
I've burned ~60 of these (bluray video discs, not data discs) without any issues, excluding issues that were my fault: improperly muxed/encoded video or somethingI'm not sure as to why the other reviewer had so much of a problem with them. I always expect such things are user errorbut maybe they got a bad batch or something....it does happenonly thing I've noticed is that sometimes they won't read on a PS3 (my panasonic bluray player still reads them fine) if burned over 4xand since they're only rated / supposed to be 4x....they can't really be knocked for thatI felt compelled to write this review to let everyone know they're not trash.they work great for me and are usually the cheapest route.lastly....these are currently on tiger/compusa for ~$50 before shipping. I'm pretty sure they've never been sold for $20 (not a 30 pack anyways)
