Madden Girl Women's Getta Pump

I ordered this shoe in black matte and nude. Both look absolutely gorgeous - very high end looking shoe for an unbelievably good price.As many people have mentioned/complained about - the sizing is the tricky part about this show. I have narrow and relatively small feet. I normally wear a size 7 in open toe shoes/heels and a size 7.5 in closed toe shoes/heels. In this shoe - I wear a size 6.5!!!I went to try these on at another store and I'm so glad I did. The 7's were still to big for me - each step I tried to take my heel came right out of the shoe. The reason for this is pretty simple - the shape of the toe-box for these pumps is less narrow than most heels which means that your foot and toes slide further up into the toe-box. For narrow footed people, this may make the difference of at least half a size. For me, it was a whole size because my toes are almost the exact shape of the toe-box meaning my feet slide forward quite a bit.I tried the 6.5 on in the light blue at the store and they fit perfectly, so I ordered the black and nude form online assuming it would be the same. To my surprise they are just the tiniest bit tight - not quite uncomfortably so, but I can see how wearing them for several hours might become uncomfortable. So far, I've worn them for a couple hours at a time with no complaints.All-in-all the shoes are sooooo sexy. I fell in love with them immediately! The black matte is not as sexy looking as the nude patent - knowing this, I may end up purchasing the black patent as well because they seriously a show stoppers. I have thin legs with narrow ankles and I'm telling you - my lower legs/feet now become red carpet worthy in these shoes - yes, they are THAT sexy looking in an understated "I'm not trying too hard" kind of way. They also work with just about any and every outfit. They can easily be played up or down - that's quite a win.Unfortunately I cannot give it 5 stars because the sizing is a bit complicated and may take people a few times to get it right. If you can find this shoe in a store and try them on there I would HIGHLY recommend doing so. That way you can see if this shoe will fit right for you. I imagine if you have wider feet this is NOT YOUR SHOE!!! If you have more narrow/petite feet - this shoe is likely to be a winner!!***I will update this post after I've worn them for a full evening out.

I ordered a pair of these in the black patent color first and had to order them in other colors.The Fit - First, these run a bit large. I wear a 7.5 with medium to wide being my most comfortable fit. Wearing a standard 7.5 these were sliding off of my heels. Oddly, the black ones I ordered in 7.5 fit fine, but the red and coral ones were too big. I returned them and re-ordered them in size 7, and since I was concerned about toe crowding, I opted for the wide fit. They are perfect! Very comfortable. They do not squish my toes or dig into my feet, and they don't slip off my heels.The Look - I've never been hugely into the patent leather look (these are not real leather, FYI), but these shoes really look simplistically pretty in the patent. There is a small platform in the shoe, but it is nicely disguised. I personally don't like the look of platforms for everyday shoes. The hidden platform adds height while keeping the shoes looking sophisticated. Of course, the platform also turns these 3.5 inch heels into more tolerable 3 inch heels.The Colors - For me the black and coral patent shoes were true to the color shown on the site, but the red ones were a much brighter cherry red. I still like and kept them, but I would have preferred the darker red shown on the web page.The Stars - I gave these shoes 4 out of 5 stars because the coral ones arrived with some small scuffs on them, and the red ones were not the color depicted on the webpage. Overall they are good shoes for the price, and they are versatile.

Some years I collect heels, and other years I purge heels. Somewhere in the mix, I forgot that I love Madden Girl pumps, and I forgot that I never bought a pair of plain black high heels. Amazon to the rescue! A friend inspired me to buy platforms and I only agreed to buy if I could find platforms that were not obnoxious, and these are perfect.First, I fell in love with Getta's simplicity. Second, I fell in love with the price. After choosing black out of practicality (I need them for a gown that I am wearing in a few months), I combed the reviews for sizing recommendations. Big thank you to the ladies before me who recommended a half size smaller! My narrow size 8 feet fit perfectly in the 7.5 pumps. In the near future I will be wearing these all day for a special event, so I am breaking these in now.I have learned that the shank is nice and sturdy, I feel and appreciate their support. The toe box fits my feet well (my skinny feet are easily compressible and my 2nd and 3rd toes are both longer than my big toe), so I do not need to stretch them out. The heel is solid and doesn't feel like it is going to snap from under me. The vamp is a little short, and I don't like seeing toe cleavage, so I will just keep my feet off of the banquet table like a normal adult. The toe is upturned a little bit, and it makes walking very easy and comfortable. The sole's traction is minimal, but not slick, just use caution if you're not used to the soles. Otherwise all of the stitches and constructive details are well done, nothing seems to have been overlooked.I am very pleased with these pumps, and have already purchased a second color.A longer vamp would be nice, but it's not a big deal. I look forward to buying a third pair.

I am usually a size 6 and these fit almost as expected but were just slightly big. The first time I wore these was for a graduation where I had to stand for ~2 hours, then walk about a kilometre, then sat for ~2 hours. By the time I was sitting I had some mega blisters on my heels and it was very painful. They do take time to break in but I have now worn them about 4 times and I did not get a blister the 4th time.

Arrived in a very bad condition and a wrong size was delivered. Very poor quality

The shoes are divine. Regret I had to return them as 6.5 UK was too large. Pitty they don't have 5.5 UK. This item is still on my wishlist.

PROS: The quintessential black patent pumps by Steve Madden. No surprises for design and quality, both were quite top notch. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily I could maintain my balance while walking in these 3.5 inch heels (because I usually twist my foot/trip awkwardly in high heels).CONS: However, sizing is really an issue. My feet size is a 5.5 UK, I find 6 UK to be most comfortable especially when wearing pumps. Even though after reading the reviews here I bought 5UK size, they were loose and I had to add an insert for it to fit well. Even then the left shoe felt a wee bit loose.VERDICT: Size aside, this is a shoe worth having in your collection. I bought this for Rs 1350, which is a steal.
