Is it normal for this to taste/smell like yeast?

They had a vitamin smell similar to other multiple vitamins. They did not smell like yeast to us. I hope they have a customer service person who checks these questions. They would likely be better able to answer your question. We have used these vitamins for several years with very satisfactory results.

why is this labelled as vegetarian and not vegan? does it contain milk products?

I have trouble swallowing very large pills. Are these capsules very large?

On a scale of very small, small, medium, large, and extra large (with medium as the biggest of the "easy to swallow" size) I would rate these as large. Also note that they are TABLETS and not capsules, and they don't have a slick coating so they are pretty dry; I would recommend a fair amount of liquid when taking.
