Speedo Adult Recreation Mask Snorkel Set

I am very pleased with this mask and snorkel set. I use it 5x a week at the pool exclusively for lap swimming. Initially, I considered a center snorkel specific for lap swimming, but this mask and snorkel set works fine for me and at a savings. Living in Hawai'i, I've owned at least 1/2 dozen masks and snorkels through the years, and I've learned that you should test the mask to insure a good fit and a good seal before purchasing it. And, if possible, you should try the snorkel, as well, for fit and comfort otherwise your jaw will fatigue quickly. Yes, this makes the online shopping experience for a mask and snorkel a hit or miss thing. Fortunate for me, this mask and snorkel fits fine and is comfortable; the silicone seal and mouthpiece is soft and comfortable. The snorkel has a purge valve for water that gets into the tube; it is very easy to clear it of water. Over the years, I've thrown away masks that have discolored, hardened, and become brittle from my lack of care as well as exposure to unnecessary heat and sun/UV exposure. I, now, make it a practice after every swim session to rinse, dry and properly store my equipment out of the sun; I'm hoping a little TLC will protect the silicone and plastic from degrading prematurely, and will extend the service life of the mask and snorkel.

I purchased 2 sets for a trip to Hawaii and they worked very well! We did not have any issues with sizing, breakage, leaking, or fogging at all. We used these almost every day of our trip for hours at a time and still did not face any problems. If adjusted correctly, the mask fits nice and snug. The price cannot be beat for a name brand - compared to the no-name brands sold/for rent in Hawaii for the same price or higher!

This is the third snorkel mask I've purchased from Speedo. I never had any problems with the previous two, but they do eventually break down. This latest mask allows water to come up through the mouthpiece (blowhole). I use it to do laps in a swimming pool, and every two laps I have to stop and drain the mouth piece. I have decided to use silicone to seal it completely closed. I don't recommend it for actual snorkeling, you will choke to death.

Two stars just for being a mask and snorkel. Does anybody test this stuff? IMHO it is a POC. It looked just like the BodyGlove set I've used for years, but is wearing out. My first impression upon unboxing: how cheap. The goggles are glass with silicone frames, but the head strap is inflexible plasticky looking. It might be silicone, but others I've used are more stretchy and rubbery silicone. It has plastic clips that have to be adjusted because the strap will not stretch over your head then un stretch to fit snug. The mouthpiece on the snorkel is small and I have to purse my mouth to keep the water out. I will be going to Walmart later to look for yet another replacement. So disappointed in this wasted money. This is more suitable as a toy for a child, not a serious swimmer.

I am so dissatisfied about this product , i bought it a month ago for my trip to the Caribbean. Once i started to try it , i noticed few things : It is so difficult to adjust it , so small and not confortable , but the worst thing is that the snorkling tube has a hidden hole in where the water come in , so i could not use it. Same thing for the mask , i could not use , simply because the water come inside the mask once i put my face on the water. I am so dissatisfied and i would like reimbursement , since they can not be used anymore.

I rented snorkel gear in Hawaii and found that the price to purchase your own is actually cheaper than renting for a week. Go figure! Bought this awesome set and found it to be better than the expensive set I rented. This has everything a beginner snorkeler could ever need. Plus you do not have to have that weird feeling you get from using a snorkel that has been in someone else's mouth. Buy this and save yourself some money!

At first I thought this was a nice set for the money but after using it a couple of hours I realized the snap on clip for the snorkel just does not work very well at all but for the price I was going to overlook the need to reattach the snorkel every time I put the mask on my face. However, after a few days of use one end of the straps broke right where it bends in the lock. I was able to reattach it since the other end had about 2 inches of extra strap hanging free. Well a day later and the strap broke again and this set went in the garbage.Conclusion: The mask was a little small on my face (seemed more of a youth size) and the strap is way too narrow allowing it to break very easily.

Love this snorkel mask set. Just got back from using it with my new Trek fins in S. Florida. I'm highly allergic to Latex so finding a latex free snorkel option was imperative. I've used Speedo swim goggles for years without reacting to them so I was glad to get this set. Comfort, adjustability and performance are all excellent. Got a set for my sister who has trouble keeping her mask from leaking. And she loved them too. And the price wasn't much more than the resort was going to charge for renting equipment for half a day. I see more snorkeling in my future!

I spent a week in Cuba snorkeling every day with this set and I was very satisfied. The mask never fogged up and didn't require any prep on my part for that to happen. For the price I paid for it, it can't be beat. I had previously used an Aqualung set bought through MEC and the Speedo brand was just as good if not better.Regarding the size criticisms I've read, I wear a size 7.5 hat and the mask was pretty snug but not uncomfortable. If you wear a larger hat size I'd look for something else.

Only complaint on this is that it magnifies under the water. Which I'm not a huge fan of. But everything else about these is perfect, esp that they don't fog up. The mouth piece also fits a bit awkward since it's so strait, but it works. And for the price and quality of not fogging up, well worth. Came back and ordered my partner the same snorkel after two others failed her.

Bought these to take on vacation to use in the Atlantic and everyone who was with me wanted to borrow them because they were fantastic. I received plenty of compliments and was ask where I purchased them so they could get a pair. Comfortable, no water leaked in, clear vision, no fog. Would recommend if you’re going away! My only advise is make sure to wash them after every use if you’re in salt water.

gran equipo, lo he estado usando por un tiempo y hasta el momento no ha metido el agua y tampoco se empaña, tiene un gran visibilidad, el unico pero que le pondría es la parte que sujeta el esnorquel y los lentes si lo mueves mucho se safa ya que esta pieza lo que hace es como atrapar la cinta de los lentes y si lo jalas hacia afuera se sale.

Got two of these (two people) and used it for Snorkeling in the ocean. We both found it very difficult to get the masks to stay seated without letting in water and slowly filling. Thought it was us, but I borrowed another mask on a Snorkeling tour and it was fine. Probably just didn't spend enough in this one as it wasn't great.
