I was thrilled when Volume 1 came out! I've played these etudes for over 40 yrs. Much more enjoyable to play with piano accompaniment. A few of the tempos are pretty brisk, so makes you practice. Excellent for practicing good tempo and pitch. It's easy to slack off on both when playing by yourself. Cudos to Alan Raph for finally doing what should have been done 50 years ago. Thank you Alan.

Back to the good' ole days of beautiful (and sometimes a bit challenging) fun! 2020 has me back to the "axe" after 20 years!

Given as a Christmas gift for my grandson. He was very pleased with it...as he had specified this book of music. His other grandparents gave him Book 1: Nos 1 - 60 so he should have plenty of music

Definitely challenging for keys and tempo variations and for both range and legato playing.

This is a great book but I’m getting a little annoying with the condition the book is in when I receive it. The first time I ordered it, there was a rip in the cover and after I returned it and just received the replacement, there are ink smudges and damaged corners.. I bought it New rather than used for a reason.
